VP of Membership:
The Northwoods PTA seeks a volunteer to serve as Vice President of Membership, a PTA Board position. Volunteering as the VP of Membership is a great way to meet other parents/guardians, welcome new families to our school community, and connect with returning families looking to support the PTA. The VP of Membership advocates for the PTA and its various programs while recruiting new members. Most membership outreach occurs at the beginning of the academic year. We use MemberHub to register members, collect dues, and communicate with active members.
As a PTA Board Member, the VP of Membership is invited to attend monthly board meetings and to report on any membership news. If you are interested in volunteering for this position, please contact Erin Grandstaff and Jessica Clark at northwoodspta@gmail.com
Staff Appreciation Lead:
The Northwoods Elementary School PTA is looking for a volunteer to lead staff appreciation. This important and fun position recognizes and celebrates our staff (teachers, principals, counselors, lunchroom workers, and more) for their hard work and dedication to making our school great.
With the help of other PTA members and working from an allocated budget, the Staff Appreciation Lead plans recognition events for the entire staff throughout the academic year. In years past, these events included activities like scheduling a food truck, arranging a catered breakfast or lunch, organizing a classroom supply drive, setting up a snack bar, or sending staff out to lunch. These more significant events typically occur during teacher work days at the beginning of the school year, just before winter break, and during the last week of school.
Additionally, the Northwoods community recognizes and celebrates staff members in their individual roles throughout the year (i.e., teacher appreciation week, principal appreciation day, lunchroom heroes day). With the support of other PTA members, The Staff Appreciate Lead coordinates smaller tokens of appreciation during these events. The Staff Appreciation Lead is encouraged to incorporate new ideas that make our excellent staff feel cherished and valued.
