The Northwoods Parent Teacher Association (PTA) welcomes students, families, and friends to a new school year! We’re glad you’re here, and we hope you’ll be actively involved in our school.
Our official mission is to create the best possible school environment in which our children can learn and grow. We make this happen through:
- Volunteers: We encourage all Northwoods families to volunteer. You are always needed and wanted at our school, whether in your child’s classroom or on one of our schoolwide committees. Please help! It’s good for your child, for ALL our children, and for you, too!
- Resources: We raise money to provide tools and services that aren’t covered by the school budget, from technology (including new computers and SMART Boards) to classroom supplies to special enrichment activities. We also host events for students (such as cultural arts programs and our annual Science Fair) and events for families (for example, International Night and Spring Fling).
- Support: We work together to help our children, our teachers and staff, and each other. We are a true community, and you are an important part of it. Please use us as a resource for any questions you may have . . . Northwoods is a wonderful, caring environment for families, too!
How can I get involved?
Join our PTA
If you’re interested, please download our membership form, fill it out, and return it to your child’s teacher. For just $10, you’ll be helping provide equipment and services to our children and teachers. You’ll have a voting voice in the Northwoods PTA, and you’ll also become part of the National PTA, our nation’s largest volunteer child advocacy association. (You’ll also be eligible for the National PTA’s member benefits).

Volunteer
Once a week or once a year! Volunteering has so many benefits, and we have opportunities for everyone. If you’re interested, please download our volunteer form, fill it out, and return it to your child’s teacher.
